Statue of Liberty is a monument presented by the people of France to the United Stated of America on October 28, 1886 to celebrate its centennial. It was designed by Maurice Koechlin chief engineer of Gusrave Eiffel’s engineering company and design internal structure by designer of Eiffel Tower. This statue is made of a sheathing of pure copper, hung on framework of steel with the exception of the flame of the torch, which is coated in gold leaf. The high of statue is 151 ft (46 m), if with the pedestal and foundation it is 305ft (93m) tall. The statue is the central part of Statue of Liberty National Monument, administered by the National Park Service. The first small terracotta model was created in 1870; it is now in the Jardin du Luxembourgin Paris. Then, a second model, also on a small scale, was further brought to Maceió, a city in the northeast of Brazil, which is now a museum. In France, public donation various forms of entertainment by soon-to-be famous composer Charles Gounod at Paris Opera, and a charitable lottery were among the methods used to raise the 2,250,000 francs ($250,000). At United States, benefit theatrical events, art exhibitions, auctions and prize fights assisted in providing needed funds. The construction of the statue was completed in France in July 1884. The statue arrived in New York Harbor on June 17, 1885. It was reduced to 350 individual pieces and packed in 214 crates. Financing for the pedestal was completed on August 11, 1885 and construction was finished on April 22, 1886. this monument was stored for eleven months in crates waiting for its pedestal to be finished, was then reassembled in four months. It act as lighthouse from 1886 to 1902. There was a lighthouse keeper and the electric light could be seen for 24 miles (39 km) at sea. In 2007, the Statue of Liberty was one of 20 finalists in a competition to name the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Chichen Itza which means “at the mouth of the well of Itza “, is the 2nd most visited archeological site of Mexico today. The Kukulkan Pyramid in Chichen-Itza which known as “El Castillo” (the castle), is one of the new seven wonders of the world elected in 07.07.2007. It is exactly 24 m. high considering the upper platform.
Chichen Itza was one of the greatest Mayan centers of the Peninsula of Yucatan. Throughout its nearly 1,000 years history, different peoples have left their mark on this city. The Maya and Toltec vision of the world and the universe is revealed in their artistic works and stone monuments. Several buildings have survived.
In the northern region of the Yucatan peninsula, on a limestone plateau lie the relics of Chichen Itza, once one of the most powerful cities of the Maya. Ruins of the temples of this ancient civilization spread from the Guatemala jungles to the Yucatan. Today, Chichen Itza attracts millions of visitors who come to marvel at the spectacular remains.
The history of Chichen Itza as with many aspects of Mayan history is obscure: Written records are scarce. In the historical records which is exist, dates that were several years apart were often given the same name, due to the organization of the old Mayan calendar. Roughly all sources agree that from approximately 550 AD to 800 AD, Chichen Itza existed mainly as a ceremonial center for the Maya civilization.
The area was then largely abandoned for about a hundred years (no one knows reason) to be resettled around 900 AD again. Shortly before 1000 AD, it was invaded by a people from the north ( the Toltecs ).
The Toltecs had settled near modern-day Mexico City at Tula, around 900 AD under the rule of a king Topiltzin. Topiltzin also took the name of “Feathered Serpent,” or Quetzalcoatl, the name of an Aztec god.
A rival warrior faction forced Topiltzin Quetzalcoatl and also his followers out of Tula around 987 AD.
Mayan historical sources mention that a man who called himself Kukulkan arrived in Chichen Itza from the west (Kukul means “feathered” and kan means “serpent”) in the period that ended in 987 AD. A strong case has been made that Kukulkan and Topiltzin Quetzalcoatl were most likely the same person, and that he brought the Toltec practices and beliefs to Chichen Itza, including the practice of human sacrifice.
The Toltecs were somewhat open to new ideas, however, at Chichen Itza incorporating some beliefs held by the Maya already.

Taj Mahal India was located at Agra in Uttar Pradesh; the Taj Mahal is one of the most splendid masterpieces of architecture in the world.  It was Emperor Shah Jehan who ordered the building of the Taj Mahal, in honor of his beloved wife, Arjumand Banu who was later known as Mumtaz Mahal, which means, the Distinguished of the Palace.  The Taj Mahal (also "the Taj") is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles.  One of the greatest monuments of India has been listed amongst the eight wonders of the world. This monument was built in the name of love and devotion.  It is considered to be one amongst the eight most majestic historical structures of the world. This white marble structure was the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan’s, gift for his dead wife – Mumtaz Mahal. He loved his wife so much that he ordered for the best of artisans to create a design as there has never been, and something that cannot be replicated. Having rejected hundreds of designs he finally approved of this blue print. While the white domed marble mausoleum is its most familiar component, the Taj Mahal is actually an integrated complex of structures. Building began around 1632 and was completed around 1653, and employed thousands of artisans and craftsmen. The construction of the Taj Mahal was entrusted to a board of architects under imperial supervision including Abd ul-Karim Ma'mur Khan, Makramat Khan, and Ustad Ahmad Lahauri.  Lahauri is generally considered to be the principal designer.  He is said to have personally monitored the construction of this building.  The most expensive white marble was brought to Agra. The structure combines ingredients of Persian, India, Islamic and Turkish styles of architecture. It took twenty-two years to complete the construction of this architectural wonder. As per the records twenty thousand people were employed to work on this magnanimous project, which cost the Mughal emperor thirty-two million Rupees. According to the official documents, Ustad Isa was the master architect.
The Shah Jahan despite a traumatic bereavement was exceedingly rich, extremely powerful, infinitely vainglorious and appears to have had unlimited sexual satisfaction.   And his created his vision of the world, not as it is, but rather as it should be – harmonious, graceful and pure. Inspired by love and shaped to perfection, the Taj Mahal immortalizes one man's love for his wife and the splendor of an era.  To top this he created one of the greatest existing unofficial wonders of the world. What a memorable life.
